Clicker training for teenagers?

My 17 year old son recently complained to me about the dogs pooping on the sidewalk that leads to our kitchen door.
"You should train the dogs not to poop on the sidewalk," he grumbled. "It's really annoying to have to watch where I walk."
I was about to reply that maybe he should join me in cleaning up the poop on a regular basis, so he wouldn't have to walk over the poop on the sidewalk, but I thought better of it. He's probably right. It probably would be easier to train the family dogs to not poop on the sidewalk, then to train the family teenagers to clean up the poop.
